Grocer Boosts Distribution Productivity with Waller & Associates

ATLANTA, GA – Warehousing and distribution consulting services provider, Waller & Associates, LLC. announced that C&S Wholesale Grocers has enhanced its distribution business with the implementation of RedPrairie’s Labor Management solution (LMS) at its Vermont distribution center. C&S Wholesale Grocers selected Waller & Associates to provide overall project management and implementation support in the company’s efforts to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
Since implementing the Labor Management System, C&S experienced a labor productivity increase of nearly 20% in the forklift and selection activities of the distribution center, allowing the operation to optimize warehouse labor. In addition, the distribution center has experienced decreased overall labor costs. The improved operational efficiencies have resulted in fewer hours spent completing the same volume of work. Warehouse tasks are now targeted, and management can redeploy resources more logically.
